Joshua Cohen and Thomas Nagel, in an extremely interesting piece, discuss at length John Rawls' Senior (B.A.) thesis, and its relation to his later work. Rawls' religion, it seems, had a lot of influence on his later work, despite his altered views on faith after the war.
