I have some nascent worries about Williamson’s critique of epistemological analyticity in Ch. 4 of The Philosophy of Philosophy (Blackwell, 2007) that I’d appreciate some feedback on.

Sufficiency and decisiveness
It seems from what Williamson says in Section 8 of Ch. 4 that he holds that his Peter and Stephen cases establish not only 1t and 1l, but also something like 2t and 2l:
(1t) Grasping the thought every vixen is a vixen is not sufficient for knowing every vixen is a vixen.

Discussion about the relevance of (experimental) conceptual analysis of folk concepts to philosophical issues like free will.

At the Pacific APA, there was a pretty interesting Symposium on the role of intuitions in philosophy. The three presenters were George Bealer (offering a defense of the use of intuitions), Jonathan Weinberg (offering a criticism of the use of intuitions), and Brian Talbot (offering a moderate, empirically-based defense of the use of some intuitions).I've been wanting to write up a brief post on Weinberg's talk. The talk contained an argument along the following lines:

I would like to welcome Justin Donhauser to the ranks of Buffalo Philosophy contributors. Justin is currently a PhD student in the philosophy department at the University at Buffalo (SUNY).
